Formed in 1999, MetriCal Laboratories grew out of a perceived need for a true full-service calibration and contract inspection supplier. With nearly forty years experience as quality manager for various industries, founder Joe Christian came to the realization that existing calibration companies simply were unable to meet all of their calibration needs. These companies were not capable of doing, or not willing to do, more that was required by the industry standard.

Our Owner & Managing Member

Joe Christian served for 40 years in the quality field, including 14 years as Quality Manager in charge of all U.S. operations for one of Germany’s largest laser machine tool builders. To his credit, Joe has published several articles on quality in trade journals such as Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Quality and Metlfax. He was also featured in Tom Peters’ nationally televised video, “World Class Quality: The Customer Will Decide,” and is mentioned in Peters’ book, “Liberation Management.”
